Student following this course will have a minimum of twelve hours’ lectures and tutorials a week. Each year consists of two semesters of 12 teaching weeks each followed by a period for revision and assessment.
The core lectures and tutorials are carefully timetabled to take place on two or three days of the week. Our partner believes this offers the students more chance to find meaningful, better-paid part-time work. Students at many universities have their lectures spread over the whole of the week, which gives them less time to build work experience. A bonus is that our partner will help students on this programme to find appropriate part-time work from the start of the course.
The learning experience will be further enhanced by skills sessions, tutor surgeries and guest lectures which are organised throughout the year.
Students are assessed predominantly through a mix of examination and coursework.
For entry in September 2017 onwards, our partner's standard offer is 104 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels, eg BCC.
Alternatively, our partner asks for:
Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC
Scottish Highers: BBCCC
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a business-related subject
International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points.
Mature individuals or students are welcome to apply for this course as well. They need to demonstrate appropriate, relevant work experience.
All applicants are required to have at least 5 GCSEs at C/4 or above including English and Maths.
Students whose first language is not English and who have not previously studied in the UK are required to have IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
In today’s tough job market, graduates need to stand out from the crowd to successfully secure the first full-time job after university.
Our partner offers additional seminars with the specific objective of enhancing your future employment prospects in the final year. These will include CV workshops, interview techniques, career counselling and visits from prospective employers, which give students a great competitive advantage.
