Branching Out: Smart. Seamless. Connected.

The energy from Career Tree’s recent Branching Out Career Fair, held on 15 May 2025 at The Hive, Wembley Park Campus, is still being felt. This wasn’t just a job fair – it was a vibrant meeting point for opportunity, innovation and human connection.

With attendees ranging from first-time job seekers to experienced professionals exploring new directions, the event offered tailored support and access to real employers. From interactive workshops to meaningful conversations at employer booths, the day was filled with momentum.

Smarter Ways to Connect

This year, the fair introduced smart technology to streamline the networking experience. With NFC and QR technology, attendees were able to exchange contact details instantly — paper-free and hassle-free. Alongside this innovation, timed entry slots meant every conversation had space to breathe, creating more personal and focused exchanges.

Event organiser, Mytchell Goodyear-Henry reflected on the impact:

“Bringing in this new technology was a real game-changer. It made it easy for people to connect. Combined with our timed entry, interactions felt more personal. The feedback has been amazing.”

Meaningful Conversations, Real Career Steps

We set up designated interview spaces so job seekers could have private, impactful discussions with employers. These weren’t surface-level chats — they were the start of serious career conversations. Alongside interviews, expert-led workshops helped attendees sharpen their CVs, boost their interview confidence, and plan for career transitions. One session on modern CV techniques received standout feedback and left attendees with clear, actionable takeaways.

Career Tree remains proud to offer inclusive events that reflect the diversity of our community. Attendees included recent graduates, career changers and professionals looking to re-enter the workforce. The employer line-up included names from healthcare, tech, housing and more, creating an open and welcoming environment.
