Preparing to work in Adult Social Care Level 3 Skills Bootcamp

Reach your potential with the Preparing to work in Adult Social Care Level 3 Skills Bootcamp, providing an ideal taster for those who may be new to the care sector or new to the world of work. It is accessible to learners who want to understand more about working in health and social care in an unsupervised capacity. 

 

The qualification covers the areas of communication, equality, diversity and inclusion, personal development, role of the social care worker, handling information, health and safety, safeguarding, duty of care and person-centred approaches.

Fees

Eligibility

  • Age: 19+, residing in Greater London

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK

  • No prior Boot Camp between April 1, 2024 – August 31 2025

  • Open to unemployed, self-employed and employed

  • Unemployed: Free

  • Self-Employed: Free

  • Employed: To be paid by the employer:
    ï‚· SME employer (under 250 staff): £400.00
    ï‚· Large employer (250+ staff): £1,200.00

Schedule

  • Runs for 8 weeks, with sessions held three times per week.

  • 10am to 2pm

  • Total Hours: 190 hours

    • Blended learning (online and face-to-face)

The Certificate consists of 9 units and is delivered face-to-face at our Elephant & Castle campus.

  • Unit 02: Principles of Communication in Adult Social Care Settings

  • Unit 03: Principles of diversity, equality, and inclusion in adult social care settings

  • Unit 04: Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care

  • Unit 05: Principles for implementing duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings

  • Unit 06: Understand the role of the social care worker

  • Unit 07: Understand person-centred approaches in adult social care settings

  • Unit 08: Understand health and safety in social care settings

  • Unit 09: Understand how to handle information in social care settings
