Green Construction Project Management Prince 2 Bootcamp

PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured project management framework widely used in UK construction. The course focuses on stage-based control, governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.​

Who is it suitable for?​

  • People entering project management who want structured delivery skills +
    sustainability knowledge.

  • Site managers, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, and planners who
    want to manage eco-focused builds more effectively.

  • Anyone who coordinates teams on-site or through design stages and needs better
    structure in planning, risk, communication and quality control.

  • Those who already understand green standards (BREEAM, LEED, EPC) and want a
    recognised framework to run projects through.

Fees

  • Unemployed: Free

  • Self-Employed: Free

  • Employed: To be paid by the employer:
    ï‚· SME employer (under 250 staff): £450.00
    ï‚· Large employer (250+ staff): £1,350

Eligibility

  • Age: 19+, residing in Greater London

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK

  • No prior Bootcamp between April 1, 2024 to date

  • Open to unemployed (Free), self-employed (free) and employed (with employer contribution)

Schedule

  • Runs for 4 weeks, with sessions held three days per week.

  • 10am to 5pm

  • Total Hours: 80 hours

    • Blended learning (online and face-to-face)

Week 1

Foundations of Green Construction, Retrofit, and the Built Environment

This intensive first week is designed to equip you with the basic knowledge and skills to give you the best foundation possible for the course.

​

What You’ll Learn:

  • Overview of the UK construction sector

  • The built environment’s role in climate change

  • Retrofit fundamentals and compliance with PAS 2035

  • Roles of Retrofit Assessor, Coordinator, and Installer

  • Introduction to key building regulations: Part L, F, and B

  • Overview of BIM, smart site technology, and MMC

Week 2

PRINCE2 Foundation: Project Management Principles for Green
Construction

Designed to deepen your understanding, the second week offers practical insights and development of key areas in project management and green construction.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Understand the purpose and benefits of PRINCE2

  • Learn the 7 PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes

  • Study how PRINCE2 applies to sustainable construction

  • Participate in interactive project planning activities

  • Site sustainability practices: waste reduction and safety

Week 3

PRINCE2 Practitioner: Applying Project Management in GreenConstruction

This week focuses on essential knowledge on green construction progression, learning the importance of engagement in relation to project success.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Apply PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes to real-world construction and retrofit scenarios

  • Deepen understanding of PRINCE2 terminology and structure

  • Analyse cases and tailor PRINCE2 to project complexity

  • Conduct project simulations 

Week 4

Live Project, Employability and Progression into Green Construction Roles

Your final week will be a showcase of your skills and knowledge thus far. Here, you will present your final project and prepare yourself for real-world employment opportunities.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Observe and analyse a live employer-led green construction

  • Understand how project management is applied in real-life

  • Participate in guest speaker sessions

  • Create a tailored CV and LinkedIn profile

  • Take part in mock interviews with industry professionals

  • Receive job search support, application tips, and guidance

  • Complete a guaranteed interview with an employer partner
